Natural Themes for Windows 7

When I am working on my computer sometimes I need to take a break from it all and look at something beautiful. There is nothing more beautiful to me then scenes from nature. From waterfalls to flowers to mountains and streams, nature is so living and active that just a photograph of it takes me away from my desk and into another world. Here are some of my favorite free natural themes for Windows 7.

1.      Canada Theme 

      This theme consists of six separate photo of the beauty of the Canadian landscape. From the sunset at Moraine Lake in Banff National Park to the desert cliffs of Dinosaur Provincial Park to the boats, lovely trees, and serene water atthe Curme Islands in Desolation Sound. These images will thrill and delight you. There is also a beautiful photo of Lady Evelyn Falls and a gorgeous shot of the Northern Lights.

2.      Caribbean Shores Theme 

      From the cool northern climate to the sunny beaches of the Caribbean Sea, this theme is a collection of twelve beautiful sea inspired shots. With an abundance of clear blue water and palm trees, coves and tropical flowers, and picturesque thatched huts, this theme will leave you aching for a vacation, especially during the chilly winter months.

3.      Forests Theme 

      To me there is nothing like the cool, dappled beauty of a forest to calm the nerves. This theme is one of my absolute favorites. With sixteen calming images of trees, leaves, flowers, meadows, creeks, dewdrops, climbing vines and dangling moss, you will never be bored. Span the seasons from Spring to Fall with this heavenly collection of forest photos.

4.      Germany:Mountains to Sea Theme

      This eclectic collection features a dozen images from the mountains and waters of Germany. From sheep on hills to lighthouses and cool waters, this theme will make you feel like you have just taken a trip to see the wonders of the German landscape. I love the shot of the cabin sitting on the water with the majestic mountains surrounding it and reflecting in the still water.

5.      IcelandTheme

      This theme is all about the water. With twelve images it gives you an overview of the natural beauty of this desolate place. From the waves crashing against the rocky sea shore to the mossy banks of a creek to the roaring of a waterfall, you can practically feel and smell the dampness in the air.

      There is nothing so green as Ireland. From the rolling hills to the cliffs by the sea, there is something just magical about this place. This theme has seventeen images that will give you some idea of what this beautiful area is like. One of my favorite images is of The Rock of Cashel in Cahir in the County Tipperary. The sheep graze under the might of a looming castle with ominous grey clouds signaling a storm is on its way. Just perfect.

7.      JapanTheme 

      There are many Japanese themes to choose from but this short theme of only six photos is really special. I love the image of the colorful pink cherry tree blossoming and the current of a mossy river in Akita Prefecture. Such a pretty scene.

8.      Painted Skies Theme – This theme is all about the beauty of the skies as the sun paints pastel colors. The photographer, Brook Burling, captures the sky in beautiful shades. Even lighting can light up the night sky in ways that you could not imagine. There are seventeen spectacular photos in this theme, each one with a beauty all its own.

9.      WaterfallsTheme

      There is just something so calming and reinvigorating about water, and waterfalls in particular. In this theme there are ten spectacular photographs that capture a vast array of waterfalls, from a trickle to a massive onslaught of white, tumbling drops. The long exposures help you to see the movement and you feel as if you could reach out and drink for the brisk, clear water of mountain streams and forest pools.

      This is the theme I have on my computer right now, and it is a splendid theme to see the variety of nature’s fruit as it is collected before the winter. From olives to grapes to berries of all shapes and sizes and even hay being baled, these eighteen images make you feel like you are back on the farm and will leave you hungry for a piece of fresh fruit or a bite of berry.

11.  LighteningTheme

      This theme features one of nature’s most beautiful, frightening and elusive things. Lightening. The bolts raining down from the sky used to be attributed to the anger of the gods, but they can still inspire a shiver of awe today. With fourteen captures of lighting in this theme you will always be left wondering how in the world the photographer managed to get such a perfect shot.

12.  MoonlightTheme 

      “When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that’s amore!” Crooners can go on about the moon as much as they would like but it still does not diminish its standing in our eyes. The thing that gets me the most is the juxtaposition between the relics of our past, like the ruins of ancient Greece, and the self same moon that has always hung over our planet throughout the ages of human history.

From cloudy days to glorious sunsets to flowers against a clear blue sky, the eleven images on this theme will have you looking up more often than not. Finding Novel Content for Your Blog

Information on the Internet sometimes propagates so quickly that every blog out there seems to have almost exactly the same article on it. Most of the time, the blogs that don't have the same type of search engine visibility that the biggest blogs do will end up just following a trend but never benefiting from it as do the bigger and more popular destinations. For example, if one of the leading news sites runs a story on something that gets propagated across hundreds of blogs, the news site that originally ran it is generally going to be the only one that really benefits from that content in terms of search engine visibility.

To make your blog stand out, you have to adopt some techniques that help you to find content that the other blogs aren't running and that, hopefully, they will want to pick up once they see it. Here are some good ways to accomplish that goal.

Books and Magazines

Some of the duplicated content that propagates between blogs is simply the result of authorial laziness. Pick up some books and magazines. Look through them and find information that you don't see all over the Internet. One of the advantages this gives you is reducing your chances of reproducing inaccurate information. Just to give yourself an idea of how little people actually check facts on the Internet, ask a question with a yes or no answer in a search engine and notice how quickly you can find websites that answer it both ways, even if the answer is not a matter of opinion. Battery Backup UPS Keeps Your Computer Up When The Power is Down

Most PC systems have a crucial need for a UPS power supply to protect their data, but many people do not understand this. UPS, also called uninterruptible power supply, is often redundantly called UPS power supplies by many people. How to remove bad links

More links means that your website is more trusted by people using the Internet. However, not all links are equal. Your website can be penalized or removed entirely from Google's search engine rankings if it contains too many links of poor quality and suspicious origin. Finding and eliminating these bad links are essential to any rebuilding process.

Removing Bad Links

Once you've either identified or been alerted to the problem of bad links to your websites, you can go about the unpleasant business of planning out the process, pulling together the resources, and then implementing the plan to find the bad links hiding among their not-so-bad counterparts. Once you've accomplished that and have a ready list of bad links placed firmly in your sights, you can then go about getting them removed.

Unfortunately, this is also perhaps the more difficult, time-consuming, and outright aggravating part of the process:

Find the webmaster 

Find the contact information for the webmaster of the website hosting the bad link. You want an email address, a telephone number, and even the physical address under ideal circumstances. Use a database to store this information for ready access if you have a great number of bad links to eliminate.

2)  Contact them using their contact information. Be candid about telling them that their link to your website is causing you to lose search engine ranking and that you'd like them to remove that link. However, keep in mind that you are asking them to do you a favor, which means that your message should be polite and avoid anything that could rile them up. If you have a great number of messages to send, try creating a template that you can refill and reuse at a moment's notice.

3) Be patient because it takes time for people to read and then respond to your messages. However, this does not mean that you should fire off one message and then do nothing more. If you cannot contact them through email, try using their phone numbers and old-fashioned snail mail. Try sending your messages again if you are not getting a response, but first check to see if they've removed the link without bothering to respond.

4) If you are stymied or simply not getting responses to your messages, consider alternate solutions to your problems. Find out who is responsible for setting up the bad link to your website and then contact them for a solution. For example, if the bad links were purchased and paid for, contact the business that was hired to provide them. Similarly, find out the owner of the domain containing the website with the bad link and then contact them.

5) Be sure to document your efforts for mention in your reconsideration petition as a last resort.

Petitioning Google

If you've cleaned out the links to your website and you are still being penalized for having bad links, you can petition Google to reconsider your case. Similarly, if you've picked up a domain that has been previously penalized by Google while under the direction of its former owner, you can petition Google via the same process. Simply sign into Webmaster Tools using your Google account, make sure the website you believe to be wrongly penalized has been added to your list, and then head on over to the reconsideration tool. Of course, some of the same communication rules still apply to the language of your petition. Be polite, never bluster, make no mention of irrelevant matters, and provide good documentation to back up your claims.

A Closer Look at Lenovo’s Newest Tablet PCs

Lenovo continues to raise its game in terms of their offering of consumer tablet PCs. At the recently concluded IFA industry event in Berlin, all the top computer manufacturers showcased their latest innovations. A wide range of all-in-one computers, tablet PCs, ultrabooks, and laptop-tablet hybrids were on display. And Lenovo was no exception; revealing details of its latest all-in-one computer model, and adding new laptops and new specs to its IdeaPad line.

      A leader in tablet PC production, Lenovo released three new Android tablets, namely the IdeaTab A2109, IdeaTab S2110A, and the IdeaTab 2107. The IdeaTab A2107 is designed to compete with Amazon’s Kindle Fire, the Google Nexus 7, and the iPad mini. Lenovo’s standard Android slates are the 7-inch A2107 and 9-inch A2109 that are already comfortable to hold in portrait or landscape modes. But the new IdeaTab versions also boast 1,024 x 600 screens that can be found in Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 and the Kindle Fire.

      The IdeaTab S2110A has an even larger 1,280 x 800 display, and features two USB ports on a docking station. It runs on 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Perhaps the most unique aspect of this tablet is its detachable keyboard dock which doubles battery life for up to 20 hours, easily detaching from the device with a single button press. According to Lenovo, the IdeaTab S2110A is a ‘premium entertainment tablet’. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 at 1GHz for processing oomph. It also boasts USB ports, an SD card reader, a micro HDMI port, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera, a 5MP rear camera, and a 1080p HD resolution.

      Lenovo has also been teasing us with the promise of a Windows 8-operated tablet PC for quite some time. According to reports in The Verge, Lenovo is, in fact, currently working towards being the first ever company to market Windows 8 tablet PCs, an unidentified source having recently leaked the tablet’s official specs online. The Lenovo ThinkPad’s successor is set to run on the new Windows 8 OS, and will be equipped with a stylus pen, and an optional keyboard dock like that of Microsoft’s Surface keyboard. This new Lenovo tablet PC will also sport an Intel dual core Clover trail processor, a 2GB RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 10.1-inch display. The ThinkPad 2’s cameras are also believed to be superior to those of the iPad, with 8MP on the rear and 2MP at the front, both with an LED flash. 

     Lenovo is set to release the prices of its new tablet PC creations in the next few days.
